About Me

I have spent my entire legal career focusing my practice on estate planning and estate administration. I knew from my first year of law school that these were the areas I wanted to focus my practice.

Every goal, whether big or small, starts with a plan. I enjoy helping my clients transition through the stages of life. From young adults starting their families and careers to end of life planning, then helping their loved ones after they pass. No matter where you are on your great journey through life, I am here to help!

My love of processes and numbers took hold as a high school senior who discovered an affinity for tax and accounting. However, the Lord lead me to serve in law enforcement and the military. After nearly ten years of law enforcement and military service, I followed a professional dream of becoming an attorney.

I was blessed to have been able to marry my best friend, Beverly, and have two beautiful girls, Kate and Lily. We live in the Porter’s Neck Community of Wilmington, NC. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, hiking and trips to the NC/VA mountains in our travel trailer.

Professional Information

For almost a decade, I have been providing my clients with the most current, relevant and robust planning advise available. I assign top priority to continuing legal education and attend numerous planning conferences each year.

I completed the rigorous course of studies required for the financial designation of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from the American College of Financial Service. This is an advance designation for financial advisors. These courses have provided me with a unique prospective, that of a financial advisor, which enhances my expertise in estate planning and tax practice areas.
